A person died in a house fire in Seal Beach and another person was injured and taken to a hospital, authorities said Thursday.
The fire was reported about 7:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 3700 block of Violet Street, the Orange County Fire Department reported. Firefighters extinguished the flames in about 10 minutes.
"Firefighter paramedics treated and transported one adult to the hospital, and, unfortunately, firefighters found one deceased adult inside the home," the OCFA said in a statement.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the person who died. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
