Authorities are investigating two deaths discovered along the Marin County waterfront, one in San Rafael and the other on Richardson Bay.
San Rafael police said a body was found floating about 10 feet offshore Tuesday near Francisco Boulevard East just west of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. Bystanders tried to pull the body to shore before police arrived, said Sgt. Justin Graham said.
The preliminary investigation revealed no signs of trauma or a crime, Graham said.
The other fatality was discovered Thursday on a boat in the Richardson Bay anchorage near Sausalito, said Sgt. Adam Schermerhorn of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. He had no other details about the woman’s death.
The coroner’s office has not released the name of either person.
