Two people are dead after an 18-wheeler crashed into the concrete median on I-35 in San Marcos Friday morning.

According to the City, a tandem axel dump truck was traveling northbound on I-35 near McCarty Lane around 8 a.m. when a tire blew out.

The truck crossed over all three lanes of traffic and hit the wall. Gravel spilled from the truck, hitting a second vehicle that was traveling southbound.

Both the driver of the dump truck and the driver hit by the gravel were killed.
