Firefighters Douse Flames Engulfing Vehicle on 57 Freeway

San Dimas, Los Angeles County, CA: The Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle fire just after 2:30 a.m. Friday, Apr. 28, on the northbound 57 Freeway just south of the 210 Freeway in the city of San Dimas.

CHP and LACoFD received additional 911 calls that the nearby brush was also catching on fire due to the car fire.

Everyone inside the vehicle made it out safely.

Firefighters extinguished the car blaze within 10 minutes of receiving the call. The fire did not spread to the brush.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
