Driver suffering medical event crashes into American Legion garage in Plattsburgh
A driver suffering a medical emergency crashed into a storage garage at the American Legion Post on Quarry Road in Plattsburgh, police said.
The crash happened around noon on Wednesday, according to police.
The driver, who was found incapacitated, was able to be removed from his Ford F-150 and taken to Champlain Valley Physician's Hospital for treatment after removing part of the garage door that was damaged.
Officials did not release the driver's name, and did not elaborate on the nature or cause of the medical emergency.
The scene was cleared within 30 minutes, according to officials.
