Video captures car fire on southbound I-95 near Donald Ross Road

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — Video captures the moment a car became engulfed in flames on a highway in Palm Beach Gardens.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) said crews responded to a car fire on southbound I-95 near the Donald Ross Road exit. Crews say the car caught fire at around 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

When crews arrived they were relieved to find everyone outside of the car and no one was injured. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the flames.

PBCFR said the fire was extinguished. They also noted if the hood release wire melts, firefighters must saw off the hood to quench hot spots in the engine compartment.
