ORANGE PARK, Fla. — The Clay County Sheriff's Office is trying to find the identification of a body that was found Sunday in Orange Park. Deputies were called to the 400 block Bentwood Lane at 12:10 p.m. for a report of a body near a dumpster, a sheriff's office news release states.
"One victim was confirmed deceased. At this time, we do not know the identity of the victim," the news release states. While the investigation is still ongoing, preliminary findings indicate that this appears to be an isolated event, and there is no immediate threat to the safety of the public."
In an update Monday, police said the victim was a resident of Jacksonville.
