(Brooten, MN)—The Belgrade/Brooten Police Department is investigating after a body was found in an alley in the City of Brooten on Thursday afternoon.
The body was discovered around 1:20 pm in an alley behind Western Ave. The death is still under investigation. Authorities say there are no public safety concerns.
The victim's cause of death has not been revealed and identity is being withheld while the next of kin is notified. The body was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. Assisting the Belgrade/Brooten Police Department was the Brooten Fire Department, Glacial Ridge Ambulance Service, and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
