First responders have responded to a vehicle fire on Florida’s Turnpike in Martin County Wednesday. A truck fire on the turnpike heading northbound in Martin County is causing a big delay. Follow: Interactive traffic mapThe Florida Highway Patrol arrived at the scene just before noon.The Martin County Fire Rescue released a statement on the incident: "Traffic remains down to one lane northbound around the 131 MM on the Turnpike after a box truck caught on fire before noon today. Our crews responded to the vehicle fire call around 11:35 and found the truck’s cab fully involved with heavy smoke crossing all lanes. The fire was extinguished, but crews are still working the scene so be cautious if traveling in the area.
