Truck fire shuts down I-555

POINSETT COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A Tuesday morning truck fire in Poinsett County shut down parts of Interstate 555.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation reported the commercial motor vehicle fire at 10:56 a.m. Oct. 24.
IDriveArkansas said the fire was located near the 17.2-mile marker, about 1.3 miles northwest of Marked Tree on the floodway.
All southbound lanes of traffic were shut down as firefighters battled the flames.
Shortly before noon, the fire had been knocked out, and the southbound lanes were reopened.
