CLINTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 2a.m. Sunday in Clinton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Chevy Silverado driven by Terry M. Delauder, 33, Galt, was northbound on Interstate 35 five miles south of Lathrop.
The pickup traveled off the east side of the road and struck the towed unit of a 2019 Kenworth semi driven by Ronnie L. Mettlach, 53, Edinburg, Texas, that was parked on the east shoulder of the highway. After impact the pickup caught fire. The fire consumed the pickup and towed unit of the semi.
Holt Fire transported Delauder to Liberty Hospital. Mettlach was not injured. The MSHP had incomplete seat belt usage information.
