Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish an RV fire in West Palm Beach.

Palm Beach Fire Rescue said the fire broke out at around 2:15 p.m. on Monday, inside the Meadowbrook Mobile Home Park off Drexel Road. When firefighters arrived, they saw a column of smoke and most of the RV was engulfed in flames.

Fire officials said crews conducted an 'overhaul' which means firefighters pulled and checked behind insulation to make sure the fire wasn't lingering in the ceilings or walls of the RV. They also sprayed down hotspots with water and used a thermal imaging camera to check for fire and heat in areas that can’t be seen, so the fire doesn't reignite.
