LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. – One person is dead following a fire in Youngsville.
The fire happened in the 800 block of Austin Rd. around 10:15 am.
Smoke was seen coming from the family's home as the firefighters arrived on the scene.
According to emergency officials, two residents were able to get out of the house, the third resident was later found in a bedroom.
Lafayette Fire Department, Lafayette Sheriff Department, and Louisiana State Fire Marshal are investigating.
The name of the victim has not been released.
