Firefighters from Ripley and South Ripley helped quell a tractor-trailer fire on the Shortman Road exit ramp of I-90. The Ripley Fire Department's Facebook page noted that crews responded to the fire around 6 pm, the truck hauling a plastic material. State Police Troop T states that the driver of the tractor-trailer, 61-year-old Eugene McCray of Hastings, Florida, was not injured. Crews were at the scene for nearly three hours.
