ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – Multiple fire departments were called to the scene of a blaze on Monday night.
The Zachary Fire Department, Baker Fire Department and Baton Rouge Fire Department all helped deal with an 18 wheeler cargo trailer fire.
The scene of the fire was in the 17000 block of Barnett Rd.
These fire engines were dispatched to the scene around 7 p.m.:

- Zachary Fire Unit 813
- Zachary Fire Unit 825
- Zachary Fire Unit 802
- Baker Fire 213
“Once the fire was extinguished it was found that chemicals were inside of the trailer,” according to the Zachary Fire Department.
That is when Baton Rouge Fire Hazmat was summoned to the scene.
Following their assessment, the Department of Environmental Quality was given control of the scene.
