REDDING, Calif. —
UPDATE, APR. 8, 6:35 PM:

Redding Police officials confirmed a body has been found in the ACID Canal near Canyon Road in south Redding.
An RPD sergeant spoke with KRCR's Chief Photographer currently on the scene, Adam McAllister, and said the incident doesn't appear to be suspicious in nature.
However, the incident remains under investigation.

Law enforcement is currently responding to reports of a possible body found in the Anderson-Cottonwood Irrigation District (ACID) canal near Canyon Road in south Redding, according to SHASCOM officials.
