Pick-Up Truck Fire Jammed The Monday Morning Commute In The Cajon Pass

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pickup truck caught fire on northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Monday morning caused a major traffic jammed in both directions.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a white pick-up truck pulling a trailer on fire. The vehicle was located northbound I-15 between Cleghorn Road exit and the truck scales. The vehicle fire happened on Monday about 5:25am March 14, 2022. CHP and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down all the lanes while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.

Traffic backup quickly and firefighters had the fire out in about a half of a hour. Everybody did escape the truck before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
