A UTV accident late Tuesday morning left a northeast Missouri woman dead.
It happened at 11:45 a.m. at a farm on Scotland County Route C, seven miles northwest of Memphis.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol identifies the victim as Diane K. Snyder, 68, of Memphis.
State troopers said Snyder's husband, Jerald Snyder, 66, also of Memphis, experienced a medical incident and backed over his wife.
Scotland County Sheriff Bryan Whitney told KTVO the tragedy happened inside the couple's horse barn.
Whitney says Diane was behind the UTV getting ready to load a couple of bales of hay to feed their horses.
He said that's when Jerald suffered a medical issue, became unconscious and fully accelerated in reverse, running over his wife.
The sheriff said her head became pinned between the UTV and a horse stable.
Whitney pronounced Diane Snyder dead at the scene at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Jerald Snyder was taken by ambulance to Scotland County Hospital for treatment.
