THE CAR CARRIER WAS HEADING SOUTH ON 125 WHEN A PASSERBY NOTICED SOME BLACK SMOKEOM CING OUT OF THE BOTTOM C, ARTRIED TO SIGNAL THE DRIVER. BY THE TIME THE DRIVER REALIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING, THE FIRE HAD SPREAD UP INTO THE VP U ABOVE. I JUST TALKED TO THE ASSTAISNT CHIEF -- HE SAYS THAT HE REALLY WASN’T A CONCERN AS FAR AS EXPLOSIONSEC BAUSE THE FIRES WERE IN THE FRONT OF THE CARS AND THE GAS TANKS TEND TO BE IN THE REAR. NOW, POLICE ARE ALSO CREDITING THE DRIVER WITH ACTING QUICKLY. IF WE CAN SEE, UYO CAN SEE HE DROPPED OFF THE TRAILER THERE AND THEN HE MOVED HIS CAB OVER THERE TO THE SE.ID SO THAT WAS NOT INVOLVED WITH THE FIRE. ONCE AGAIN, THERE’S NO INJURIES AS FAR AS THE FIRE IS CONCEEDRN. No one hurt, officials say

Vehicles in a car carrier caught fire in Epping on Friday, leading to the temporary closure of a busy road.A section of Route 27 was closed near Route 125 after fire crews responded to the scene. As of 5 p.m., the road is back open. The car carrier was traveling south on Route 125 when a passerby noticed black smoke coming from one of the vehicles and flagged the car carrier’s driver. The front of the Jeep on the bottom part of the car carrier caught fire before spreading to the front portion of a van on the top part of the car carrier, officials said.The assistant fire chief told WMUR there were no concerns for explosions because the fires were contained to the front parts of the involved vehicles. Gas tanks are typically in the rear end of vehicles.Police are crediting the driver for acting quickly. Officials said the driver positioned the burning trailer on the side of the road and pulled the cab into a gas station parking lot away from the scene.No one was hurt.It’s not known what started the fire, officials said.
