Car fire in Ellis Hollow leaves minor damage to house, no injuries, says Varna FD

The Varna Volunteer Fire Company says firefighters “responded to a fully involved vehicle fire that extended to the adjacent house on Ellis Hollow Road” at about 4pm on Thursday. Multiple fire departments responded to the scene.

According to a statement from VVFC, firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, and there was only exterior damage to the house. The car was a total loss. “No one was injured, and the residents were able to enter their house soon after,” they say.

“We especially thank Etna for handling a fire alarm call in our district during this fire call. We also thank the Ithaca Papa John’s for donating pizzas to us after the call,” they say.
