Chester City firefighters extinguished a contractors pick-up truck fire on west bound Route 322 just west of the Commodore Barry bridge Thursday morning about 11:15 a.m.
The owner of the vehicle attempted to use a hand extinguisher but was unable to control the flames.

Firefighters used a hose line to extinguish the roofing materials in the bed of the truck in just a few minutes.
The owner of the vehicle attempted to use a hand extinguisher but was unable to control the flames. Traffic was backed as crews overhauled the truck which was seriously damaged.
