Investigators believe a medical issue led to a crash on Colo. 66 in Longmont on Sunday night.

Colorado State Patrol officials said the crash occurred at 7:21 p.m. when a Hyundai Elantra headed west on Colo. 66 crossed the center line and collided with the rear axle of a semitrailer headed east.

The driver and two passengers of the Hyundai were transported to a hospital with minor injuries, while the truck driver was not injured.

Officials said the driver of the Hyundai, a 21-year-old man, had a seizure that led to the crash.

Longmont police shutdown the road overnight so the vehicles could be towed.
