Semi Fire Closes I-35 SB Near Iowa Border, Causing Significant Delay
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A semi truck fire has completely closed a stretch of southbound Interstate 35 near Minnesota's border with Iowa Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, I-35 will be closed to all traffic but emergency vehicles from the U.S. 65 exit near Albert Lea to the Iowa state line until about 2 p.m.
Traffic is being rerouted onto 65. MnDOT cameras showed a significant backup.
