A tractor trailer fire closed down Bullsboro Drive on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at 9:21 a.m. when the brakes of a tractor trailer headed to Yamaha caught on fire, according to Batallion Chief Don Pickford with Coweta County Fire Rescue.
The fire spread from the brakes to the rear tires of the trailer, but firefighters arrived and were able to quickly extinguish the fire. Members from Coweta County Fire Rescue and Newnan Fire assisted in the operation.
There were no reported injuries and the contents of the trailer were not damaged by the fire, Pickford said.
Both lanes of Bullsboro Drive were temporarily closed during the operation.
