Man found dead on roof of luxury NYC apartment building: cops

A man was found dead on the roof of a luxury Hell’s Kitchen apartment building on Thursday, authorities said.

The man – preliminarily believed to be in his 30s – was discovered unconscious and unresponsive atop the 38-story residential building on West 57th Street near 11th Avenue, a short walk from Pier 97 at Hudson River Park, cops said.

The man, who was not immediately identified pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances of his death remained under investigation hours later.

Available apartments in the high-rise building – known as Helena 57 West – range from $3,400 to $6,680 in rent, according to online listings.

The building was designed by award-winning firm Fox & Fowle, and was the first voluntary Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold-certified residential building in New York, its website says.
