At 9:36 p.m., Murray County dispatch received a call from one of the two occupants of the vehicle in the water at the Buckhorn Boat Ramp in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

MICHAEL, THANK YOU. NEW AT TEN, TWO WOMEN FOUND DEAD IN MURRAY COUNTY LATE LAST NIGHT. THIS HAPPENED YESTERDAY AT THE BUCKHORN BOATRILLIONAMP AT LAKE OF THE BUCKLES WHEN THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE RANGERS ARRIVED. THE CAR WAS ALREADY FULLY SUBMERGED IN WATER NEAR A BOAT RAMP. CREWS WERE UNABLE TO REACH IT. THE CHICKASAW LIGHT HORSE DIVE TEAM WAS CALLED IN TO ASSIST, BUT CREWS WERE ABLE TO PULL THE VEHICLE OUT, PRONOUNCING THE TWO DEAD AT THE SCENE. At 9:36 p.m., Murray County dispatch received a call from one of the two occupants of the vehicle in the water at the Buckhorn Boat Ramp in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

National Park Service rangers arrived on the scene at 9:46 p.m., and the vehicle was fully submerged, according to a statement from Megan Wilkins with the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Rangers attempted to reach the vehicle, but they were unable to. At 9:36 p.m., Murray County dispatch received a call from one of the two occupants of the vehicle in the water at the Buckhorn Boat Ramp in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. National Park Service rangers arrived on the scene at 9:46 p.m., and the vehicle was fully submerged, according to a statement from Megan Wilkins with the Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

Rangers attempted to reach the vehicle, but they were unable to. The National Park Service requested assistance from the Chickasaw Lighthorse Dive Team to assist, and they were able to pull the vehicle out of the water at approximately 11:30 p.m.
