Semi Fire Shuts Down Highway 20 Friday Morning Near Moorland

The Iowa State Patrol responded to a semi-truck that was on fire this morning on Highway 20 near Moorland.

According to Iowa State Patrol Trooper Paul Gardner that fire was reported before 7:30 am and the westbound lanes of Highway 20 were closed to traffic for a short time.

The semi had to be towed off the road and luckily no one was injured

Preliminary reports indicate that the fire was caused by an equipment failure.
