10-year-old dies following fight at Merced trampoline center

MERCED, Calif. — A 10-year-old has died after a fight broke out Wednesday, April 13, at Rockin’ Jump in Merced.

According to the Merced Police Department, Anthony Duran was hospitalized following a fight with another juvenile while playing basketball at the trampoline center.

Officials say Duran was taken to the hospital but died on Monday, April 17.

Police say an autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death.

The department is reviewing the case with the Merced County District Attorney to determine if charges will be filed.
