Car lost in vehicle fire in Vernon County

TOWN OF JEFFERSON, Wis. (WEAU) - No one is hurt after a vehicle fire in the Town of Jefferson Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement was alerted to a vehicle fire on Nottingham Road around 5:00 p.m. When crews arrived, the engine compartment was fully engulfed in flames, spreading to the inside of the vehicle. Responders used their fire extinguishers to try and contain the fire before the fire department arrived. The vehicle was considered a total loss.
