According to the Fresno Fire Department, firefighters were called out to a house in the 2000 block on Minnewawa around 9:20 a.m. for reports of a car fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found two cars and a garage on fire, and they quickly upgraded the call to a house fire and called for a second alarm.

Firefighters said that electric cars add more complexity to their efforts.

There was also damage to other parts of the house due to heavy smoke.

Investigators believe the fire started at an electric car parked in the garage.

There were no injuries reported.

The investigation is still ongoing.
