Firefighters Extinguish Combine Fire in Frankenmuth Wheat Field

Firefighters in Frankenmuth responded to a fire in a field Tuesday morning.

Fire Chief Phil Kerns says crews were called to a wheat field on Dehmel Road around 11:45 for a report of a combine that had caught fire.

Once the flames were out, the combine was deemed a total loss, along with around 3 acres of unharvested wheat. No injuries were reported.
