Decatur man drowns in backyard pool

DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) - A Decatur man has died after drowning in a residential pool on Cedarhurst Drive Southwest.
Saturday evening, Decatur Police identified the man as Rafael Ramirez. Investigators say it’s not clear when he died. We’re told he was alone and could’ve gone into the pool Friday night or Saturday morning.
Police do feel at this point as though the death is accidental, and do not suspect foul play.
