MORE THAN A DOZEN DEPARTMENT IS ESCORTED SERGEANT TANNER’S BODY FROM THE HOSPITAL TO HIS HOME. OFFICIALS SAY HE DIED LAST THURSDAY FROM COMPLICATIONS RELATED TO A MEDICAL INCIDENT. First responders throughout New Hampshire are preparing to say their goodbyes to Bristol police Sgt. Barry Tanner, who died last week.On Friday night, more than a dozen department's escorted Tanner from the hospital to his home. Officials said he died last Thursday from complications related to a medical incident. Tanner joined the Bristol Police Department as a Detective/Sergeant in 2017 until his end of watch, officials said.Tanner's 30-year career in law enforcement included stints with the Plymouth Police Department, Haverhill Police Department and Holderness Police Department.A funeral is scheduled for Thursday at Owls Nest Lodge in Thornton. Tanner leaves behind his daughter Mackenzie, son Brock and wife Paula.
