At 6:30 a.m. Friday, Big Sky Fire Department was called to mile marker 52 of Highway 191 for a fully involved semi-truck fire.
Crews found the truck on the side of the road and extinguished the fire that was in the cab before it could spread to the trailer.
No injuries were reported.
Big Sky Fire Department released the following information:
At 6:40 a.m. this morning BSFD B-Shift crews were called to MM52 of Hwy 191 for a report of a semi-truck on fire.
Upon arrival, crews found a semi-truck and trailer pulled over to the shoulder of the northbound lane with the cab fully involved.
Crews rapidly attacked the semi and were able to keep the fire from spreading to the trailer.
The semi-cab was a complete loss and the cause is undetermined at this time. There were no injuries associated with this incident.
