AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
A man suffered second-degree burns in a house fire.

Around 1:10 a.m., Amarillo firefighters were called to 1734 Brookwater Place.
Heavy flames were coming from the front of the house when they arrived.
You can see the heavy flames and dark smoke in video captured on a a neighbor's surveillance camera.

The man who lived there was burned, but made it out before firefighters arrived.
His dog escaped out the front door.
The fire marshal is investigating the cause.
